A lot of teams would love to have the two titles mentioned at modestomaniax.com's feature story today.. I got a text from the league as we were ending our game and was reminded that a lot of teams won't be lucky enough to have the titles we have this year.. The Tier 2 "Great 8 for 2010 includes the Maniax for the history of Women's Football to see for years to come.. That alone signals a beginning, for a team with an owner that will continue to build, is on a mission, and devoted to making this Women's Tackle Football thing work in the 209 Area Code. We are looking immediately ofr players to join or 2011 workouts scheduled to start in August.. We are looking for coaches..  This is a rebuild, starting immediately.. more will be printed here in days to come.. 
 
In 2011, Modesto will have a team that is ready to rock the West Coast.  A lot of teams got wins on the Maniax this year, talk to any of those teams and you'll find out , from those players.  We have said it all year.. A few significant "athletes" away from that next level.. We will be a four year tackle football team with three in the IWFL..  Any watcher of IWFL football, will tell you, it takes 5-6 years to build a new team..  
 
The winner of the tier 2 playoffs yesterday is the former 2008 Oakland Banshees team..  Oakland was a tier one team.. We cannot be judged by any game against the tier 1 veteran teams..
